• What is BB Glow?

  BB Glow is a combination of powerful tinted serum applied using Microneedling method – an intensive skin treatment that uses state-of-the-art technology to penetrate first layers of the skin with microneedles which are rapidly released from a Microneedling pen (don’t worry – it’s painless!). One of the main benefits of basic microneedling is stimulation of natural collagen production and skin rejuvenation, where the BB Glow serum adds incredible nutrients and most importantly the color tint you desire.

• The Treatments:

  Despite the treatment being suitable for any type of skin such as dry, oily, pigmented or normal, it is important to note that it is not recommended to anybody. People who are not suitable for this procedure are those with any kind of skin condition including active acne skin or cystic acne, eczema, psoriasis, open wounds, pregnant and breastfeeding women, or anybody taking hormonal medication. When it comes to minor risks It is very likely that you experience a little redness, dryness, swelling, bruising, or flaking skin immediately after the procedures. These may last for a few you upcoming days. Even though, potential side effects are mostly minor there is a variety of major short term and long-term issues associated with the procedure that may occur. Short-term issues could include problems such as infections, pigmentation irregularities, changes or allergic responses. Long-term issues may be associated with adverse effects on skin texture throughout the time with repeated applications or scarring. In general, bleeding is not a common reaction after microneedling, however, it may happen after a deeper treatment or to those who are taking blood-thinning medications.

• Risks and Complications:

  BB Glow treatment is 100% safe even in a long-term applications if high-quality materials and sterile tools are used and the treatment is delivered by a trained professional. The micro needling technology prevents needles to go deep into the skin, therefore, no damage to the skin can be made. In general, the procedure is comfortable, however, some tingling and tightness in the skin can be felt. Furthermore, the BB serums are free of alcohol, allergens, benzophenone, fragrances, formaldehyde, parabens, mineral oils, or synthetic colouring. • Before Treatments:

  If you are concerned if the BB Glow treatment is suitable for you, we do recommend to discuss this with our aesthetician or medical skincare professional who is experienced in these types of treatments in order to achieve the best possible outcomes and to minimise the risks. For example, certain types of medication, such as those for acne treatment or for blood-thinning, may need to be stopped taking beforehand to reduce the risk of side effects. If you are concerned about an allergic reaction, a test treatment can be done to see how your skin reacts with BB creams application before the procedure. The test is usually done either on the neck or under the hairline.

• After Treatments:

  After you have had your BB Glow treatment it is recommended to follow a few steps in order to assure the most effective outcome and lasting of the treatment.

  No excessive facial cleansing for a minimum of 24 hours
  No skin touching for a minimum of 12 hours
  5 days with no make-up or skin peel
  7 days with no swimming
  14 days with no direct heat including sunbathing, sauna, or sun bed

  We do also recommend an application of moisturising and nourishing cream with a high factor SPF .

• What is the application procedure?

  Each application takes about 1 to 2 hours depending on a skin type of a client. A consultation is necessary before the procedure due to the selection of the closes shade of BB glow. Usually, two to three BB glow are mixed together to customise a color for each client.

• How long does it last?

  The effects of the treatment are individual and may vary from person to person depending on the skin condition and a post treatment after care. Immediate results may be seen straight after the first procedure. However, the BB serum has a cumulative effect which means that it builds up under the skin with every single treatment. Therefore, a number of 2 to 5 treatments at 10 to 14 days intervals are recommended to achieve the best long-lasting results possible.

• Expected lasting effect:

  1 to 2 applications= lasting up to 2 to 3 months
  3 to 5 applications= lasting up to 9 months

• What are the Benefits of BB Glow Treatment?

• Will BB Glow clog my pores?

  No, BB Glow will not clog pores. This idea originated from a traditional makeup where particles are too large and the ingredients are not designed to benefit the skin per se. BB Glow serums are formulated to be beneficial for the skin, even the tint that provides the color is completely natural and non-comedogenic, meaning free of silicones; therefore it will not clog the pores.

• BB Glow Aftercare:

  Proper aftercare following your procedure is necessary to achieve the best results.Keep in mind that in many cases , some unevenness of color is to be expected.This is the purpose of the touch-up visit. Please review the following directions and refer to them as necessary. If during your healing process you have any questions or concerns , please contact your technician.

  Ice packs protected with a cloth maybe applied as necessary to reduce swelling. Sleeping slightly elevated helps alleviate swelling sometimes seen the morning after facial procedures.

  Wash your hands before touching any treated area.Cotton-tipped applicators may be used to gently cleanse the eye area. Do not expose the area to dirty or unsanitary conditions. Wearing glasses outdoors is a good way to protect new eyeliner from dust etc, that can stick to healing agents.Apply recommended healing agents sparingly.

  Some Itching is normal. DO NOT PICK, PEEL,OR SCRATCH the treated area or your color may heal unevenly and you risk scarring and infection.

  No Makeup is to be applied for 72 hours after the procedure. After any eyeliner procedure, use new mascara. Do not use an eyelash curler for two weeks.

  Do not expose your healing skin to direct sun, tanning beds , hot tubs,saunas , salt water, chlorinated pools, direct shower spray , hot water , skin creams , ointments or lotions other than what you have been instructed to use for 2 weeks following your procedure.

Collagen Induction Therapy / Micro-Needling Post-Treatment Instructions

• What to be expected?

  Day 1: Skin will be erythematous and flushed after treatment, depending on the intensity of the treatment. Pinpoint bleeding may occur. Do not apply makeup for at least 12 hours.

  Day 2: A red or pink hue persists, like moderate sunburn. Swelling and slight bruising may be more noticeable on the second day. Minor scratches may be visible. Apply moisturizer as needed.

  Day 3: Skin can be pink or normal color. Swelling subsides. The skin can feel dry or feel tight. A slight acne outbreak or milia (tiny white bumps) is possible. Light peeling usually occurs in about three days and will be replaced with brand-new skin.

• Home Care

  1. Wash with a gentle cleanser using your fingers only. Gently massage the face with lukewarm water. Remove serum and other debris, such as dried blood. Do not scrub; use a washcloth. Cleanse areas treated twice a day. Do not use exfoliating products for 72 hours.

  2. Cold compresses may be applied following treatment for comfort. If neck or décolletage are treated, the redness might last slightly longer.

  3. Apply 1% Hydrocortisone cream or Benadryl spray or gel on treated areas to reduce itching or redness.

  4. Continue taking Arnica Montana or any over-the-counter pharmacy cream up to 7 days after each treatment to decrease bruising and inflammation.

  5. Do not exercise for 24 hours after treatment.

  6. Avoid saunas, steam rooms, hot baths, or showers until the redness is gone.

  7. avoid sun exposure to the treatment areas and apply a broad-spectrum sunblock with an SPF minimum of 30. Apply it at least 30 minutes before sun exposure and repeat after every two hours.

  8. After 2-3 days, you can return to regular skin care products or when comfortable. Mineral makeup may be applied the following day.

  9. Avoid strenuous exercise for two to three days after treatment.

  10. Avoid waxing, facials, botox, injectable fillers, or any other skin care treatment two weeks after treatment.

  11. New cell regeneration requires at least 6-8 glasses of water daily (if you already drink that- increase by two glasses) up to 12. Please seek professional medical assistance if your skin becomes painful, swollen, red, or inflamed.
